DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program Recertification
DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM RECERTIFICATION
DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Instructor certification is issued for a period of up to four (4) years. The Director should apply for recertification within 60-90 days of expiration.
DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM OWNER RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Instruction Recertification Application.
- Complete GAPS fingerprinting for a national and state criminal background check.
- Certified Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from each state in which they were licensed in the past 5 years except Georgia.
- Thirty-two (32) contact hours of approved continuing education.
- Documentation, such as class rosters or a letter from program owner/director, showing at least four (4) classes have been taught within current certification period.
HOW TO APPLY
- Register for your criminal background check through the Georgia Applicant Processing System.
- Please submit your application packet by mail, along with fees and all supporting documents to the following:

APPLICATION PROCESS
Please complete the application packet in its entirety to enable us to complete the process in a timely manner. It is advisable when mailing to use certified or mailing that can be tracked. Our goal is to completely approve your application within 30 business days. Once the application and supporting documentation are received, we will contact you within 7-10 business days.
