For Hire Endorsement Program
For-Hire Drivers
Georgia limousine chauffeurs, taxicab drivers, and ride share drivers must have either a private background check certification through the limousine carrier, taxi service, or ride share network service that employs them OR a For-Hire endorsement on their Georgia Driver’s License. The For-hire license endorsement is valid for the term of the Driver’s License.
For-Hire License Endorsement Requirements
- For-Hire application online through DDS Online Services.
- A $15 non-refundable application fee.

- Complete application for For-Hire Endorsement via our Online Services portal. Log in or create an online account to submit your application.
Application Process
Our goal is to complete processing of your application within 30 business days of receipt of the application and your fingerprint results.
