Administrative License Suspension (ALS)

An Administrative License Suspension (ALS) results from a DUI arrest when a state-administered test indicates the driver is under the influence or when a driver refuses to submit to a state-administered test.


Paying ALS Fees

What forms of payment does the Georgia Department of Driver Services accept?

  • DDS Customer Service Centers take cash, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay
  • DDS Online Services and the DDS 2 GO mobile app take only credit or debit cards.
  • The cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express

Licensed Drivers

You must submit your ALS hearing request and pay the appropriate fees to DDS within the required appeal period.  There are three ways to submit your hearing request and pay your fees:

  • Online Services

    This form must be fully completed and submitted within the required appeal period or your request for hearing will be rejected and your right to appeal will be waived. 

    1. Create and/or login to your Online Services account
    2. Once you are in your online account, select Other Services, select the option in the Hearing Request box.
  • Mail

    First, complete the Download this pdf file. ALS Hearing Request form . This form must be fully completed and submitted to DDS via postal service, visiting a Customer Service Center, or through Online Services within the required appeal period or your request for hearing will be rejected and your right to appeal will be waived.

Attorneys 

Attorneys can submit an ALS Hearing Request to DDS on behalf of your clients within the required appeal period. There are three ways to submit your client’s hearing request and pay the fees:
