The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is excited to announce the expansion of its Digital Driver's License and ID Program to include Samsung Wallet. This enhancement provides Georgia residents who have a Samsung Galaxy with a secure, convenient, and innovative way to manage their identification documents.

Commissioner Spencer R. Moore expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce Samsung Wallet as a new platform for our Digital Driver’s License and ID Program. This expansion represents a significant step forward in enhancing both security and convenience for our customers. By integrating with Samsung Wallet, we continue to embrace cutting-edge technology and also ensure that Georgians have a more streamlined and secure way to manage their identification needs.”

The Georgia Digital Driver’s License and IDs in Samsung Wallet is currently only valid at select Transportation Security Administration (TSA) PreCheck® security checkpoints, including those within Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Locations are expected to expand over time.

DDS reminds customers that a Georgia Digital Driver’s License or ID on Samsung Wallet is voluntary and comes at no additional cost. The digital driver’s license and ID does not replace your physical license or identification card. Law enforcement will not accept a Georgia Digital Driver’s License or ID, so it is imperative that customers continue to carry their physical driver’s license or ID with them.

How to Obtain Georgia Digital Driver’s License and ID in Samsung Wallet :
