Good news for Georgia Drivers! The Department of Driver Services (DDS) is expanding their Self-Service Kiosk Program adding fifteen (15) additional grocery store locations across the state. The innovative kiosks, which enable customers to complete a variety of driver’s license-related transactions including license renewal and replacement, have proven popular for their convenience and ease of use.

“Our customers know that combining their grocery shopping trip with vital driver’s license services is a huge time-saver. We’re pleased to be able to help make their lives easier by offering more locations and giving customers the convenience of completing important licensing transactions safety and securely while they shop,” commented DDS Commissioner Spencer R. Moore.

This expansion brings 39 total kiosks across the State and includes additional Kroger stores in the metro-Atlanta area plus locations in Dacula, Macon and Savannah among others. A Publix location has been added in Columbus. To locate a DDS Grocery Store Customer Service Kiosk, please visit https://dds.georgia.gov/find-location/store-kiosk.

DDS’ self-service kiosks, introduced as a partnership with the Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) and County Tax Commissioners, allow drivers to renew, replace, or update their licenses directly while shopping for groceries, saving them valuable time and providing a seamless experience. Most license expirations fall on the driver’s birthday, so a license renewal and vehicle tag renewal can be completed at the same time at the same kiosk. As an added benefit, most completed DDS kiosk transactions are eligible for a $5.00 fee reduction.
