Limited Driver Services

Limited Driver Services will be provided by appointment only.  All customers must fill out an application prior to visiting the center. 

1. Appointment for Limited Driver Services

  • You must fill out the required application, then schedule an appointment for the following services:
    • All CDL Transactions to include CDL Road Tests (You must call to schedule CDL Road Test - see #2 below)
    • First Responders to include (Police Officers, EMS, Firefighters, Medical Professionals, etc)
    • Current Georgia license and ID holders who are unable to conduct their business online 
    • New to Georgia Customers - drivers that recently moved to Georgia from another state
    • Teen Driver Knowledge Exams
    • Motorcycle Skills Test
    • All non-commercial Road Test



  • The Governor’s Executive Order signed on April 23, 2020, for Road Test Waivers was updated on May 12, 2020. The automobile road test requires an appointment and the passing of the modified road test.  All drivers are now required to take and pass a modified road test that will be administered at DDS Customer Service Centers.  You must schedule a Road Test Appointment.  

Customers are only allowed to bring (1) one person with them to the center (such as a Responsible Adult, interpreter, etc)


2. Call to Schedule a Commercial (CDL) Road Test

Commercial Road Test will be conducted at the CDL Road Test Sites only.  You must call our Contact Center to schedule a CDL Road Test Appointment at one of the sites listed below.
