  1. Why Commercial Drivers?  Commercial Drivers are considered essential workers and are especially needed during this time to ensure an uninterrupted supply of medical goods and other emergency-related materials, supplies, goods, and services pursuant to Governor Brian Kemp’s Declaration of a Public Health Emergency in the State of Georgia.
  2. What Limited Services will be offered? Click here for more information.
  3. Are DDS Employees considered Essential Workers? Yes
  4. I own/operate a DDS approved driver training school.  Is my business considered to be an “essential” service?
    • DDS does not determine if a regulated program is considered to be essential to critical infrastructure.  In his April 2, 2020, Executive Order to Ensure a Safe and Healthy Georgia, Governor Brian Kemp authorized the Georgia Department of Economic Development to issue guidance to any business, corporation, organization, or any industry trade group regarding its status as Critical Infrastructure.
